Sydney: Grand March Awakens People’s Sense of Justice and Conscience (Photos)

Falun Dafa practitioners from Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland, Adelaide, Canberra, and West Australia held a grand march in Sydney on September 28, 2013 to promote the teaching of Falun Dafa and to help tourists and residents know about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. The massive procession drew attention from many passersby and was warmly received.

Australia: More than 100,000 Signatures on Petition Calling for End to Organ Harvesting (Photos)

On May 9, at a council debate, David Shoebridge, John Kay, and Jan Barham, three Greens members of the New South Wales Legislative Council, submitted a petition with more than 100,000 signatures to the council. The petition calls for action to be taken to stop the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners, to make laws to forbid Australian citizens to have illegal organ transplants in other countries, and to stop training surgeons from other countries for illegal organ harvesting.

Sydney: Petition Calls for Amendments to Legislation that Help End Organ Harvesting Atrocities in China (Photos)

A petition with more than 70,000 signatures was presented to David Shoebridge and Jamie Parker, Members of the Parliament for the State of New South Wales (NSW) at at press conference in front of the state Parliament building on April 24, 2013. The petition seeks an end to the illicit harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners by asking the NSW Parliament to amend existing laws regarding organ trafficking.

Australian Senate Unanimously Passes Motion on Organ Harvesting

The Australian Senate unanimously passed a motion on March 21 urging the government to oppose the practice of organ harvesting in China. The motion was introduced before the 76-member Upper House of the Australian Parliament by Senator John Madigan from the Democratic Labor Party.
