Hundreds of Australians from around the country will appeal to the Australian Government, at Kirribilli House by individually hand delivering a personal letter to Prime Minister Howard to investigate the attempted murder of 9 Citizens in South Africa.
A letter from Australian Falun Gong group has been delivered to DFAT (Department of Foreign Affair & Trade) on Wednesday requesting a correction to the false statement issued last week by an unnamed DFAT spokeswoman regarding the attempted murder of nine Australians in South Africa last Monday.
After the South Africa shooting incident took place, family members of the victims and representatives of Falun Gong practitioners held a discussion with officials of the South African Embassy in Australia. The South African Embassy said that they would try their best to arrest the criminals.
Sydney resident David Liang, father of two, was among nine Australians Falun Gong practitioners who arrived in South Africa on 28th June to file a lawsuit against Chinese officials visiting Johannesburg. Little did he know that his efforts to seek justice would nearly cost him his life.
This is the most severe case of persecution against overseas Falun Gong practitioners in the last five years. The victims believe that this was a deliberate assassination attempt by hired gunmen with involvment of Chinese officials.
The weekend of 19 June to 21 June 2004 marked the celebration of National Falun Dafa Day in Canberra Australia. Practitioners from all over Australia took the opportunity to gather in Canberra to make the public more aware of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to expose the torture methods and lies used by the Jiang regime to poison the people of the world.
The warm day and relaxed atmosphere contributed to our sharing Falun Dafa with the Sunshine Coast community, and many truly wanted to know more about the practice and of the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

The purpose of the lawsuit is to stop the Chinese newspaper from continuously publishing lies about Falun Gong and commentary articles that slander Falun Gong. At the same time, John Deller thought it would be a good reminder to all overseas Chinese media, that they should not irresponsibly publish fabricated news that defames Falun Gong, a legal organization. Thus, it can effectively stop Jiang’s group from exporting hatred overseas.
On May 15, 2004 about 300 Falun Dafa practitioners from Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne gathered in Melbourne, the capital of the state of Victoria, and launched a grand parade, revealing the moving, tragic and glorious history of Falun Dafa since it was introduced to the public in 1992.
