Thoughts on Chinese Students’ Questions About the Persecution

During the Chinese premiere’s visit to Canada in September 2016, Falun Gong practitioners’ banners were intentionally blocked by the Chinese students’ huge red Chinese flags. It seems that the students had been arranged to be there by the Chinese Embassy.

A few practitioners asked the students not to block others from expressing their wishes to stop the persecution.

However, some students questioned the practitioners with similar queries as outlined below:

Student: How do you know the persecution is happening?

Practitioner: We wouldn’t be here if it didn’t exist.

Student: How come we haven’t heard anything about it?

Practitioner: The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has covered it up.

Student: How can you convince us the persecution exists?

Practitioner: The elderly lady holding the banner and standing in front of you was put in a labor camp and persecuted.

Student: Who would believe you?! Organ harvesting is a lie you guys made up!

Practitioner: There are witnesses and investigative reports.

CCP Deception

The Chinese students have been deceived by the Communist Party, so I cannot blame them for their actions. Born in the 1990s or even the 1980s, they were still children when the persecution started. While growing up, they were brainwashed by the Party’s hate propaganda about Falun Gong. Their minds are void of the truth.

I would guess that other practitioners have run into similar questions from Chinese while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa, which has made it difficult to convince the Chinese people.

Exposing the Persecution Awakens Understanding

I remember when the persecution first started. Practitioners were so eager to expose the persecution that some of them brought television sets to tourist spots to show people what was going on in China. More practitioners went out to squares and other gathering places to display posters full of graphic photos to make people aware of the brutality of the persecution.

Numerous passersby were moved, and many shed tears looking at the pictures. Some of them were reporters who thanked us for the information. People proactively signed our petitions to show support.

This time, however, our main banners were “Bring Jiang XX to Justice!” “Falun Dafa is Good!” and “Stop Persecuting Falun Gong!” We didn’t show how brutal Jiang’s group is in their persecution of Falun Gong or how inhumane the torture methods are.

Without our showing them the facts, how would people who have just come from China learn the truth, given that the CCP has been covering up its crimes?

Therefore, in my understanding, only when pictures of the persecution are presented can people’s righteous thoughts be awakened. The truth shown with lives, blood, and tears can move people and awaken their conscience. It cannot be done with words alone.

There are thousands of pictures on the Minghui website that we can use. If pictures of the persecution can be used at tourist spots around the world, we can help Chinese tourists understand the breadth and depth of the persecution, help them see through the brutality of the CCP, and break away from it, so as to choose a bright future for themselves.
