London: Promoting Falun Dafa and Collecting Signatures at East Finchley Festival

“I feel an energy field here, very peaceful and very strong. Falun Dafa teaches compassion, improves health of mind and body. It is very important to live a life following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, but it is not easy. You must have positive energy to be strong.”

A woman named Gemma, a marketing consultant, explained her thoughts to a Falun Dafa practitioner she met at the Falun Dafa booth at the East Finchley Festival on June 19.

Gemma learned about the persecution in China from Falun Gong activities in London’s Chinatown. She had signed a petition condemning the organ harvesting atrocities against prisoners of conscience in China, most of whom are Falun Dafa practitioners.

Today, when she saw the Falun Dafa at the festival, she walked directly to the booth and expressed her appreciation and support for Falun Dafa’s peaceful efforts to raise awareness and end the persecution.

East Finchley Festival is an annual event in this community north of London, and this was its eighth year. The festival is held at the Cherry Tree Recreation Ground.

Falun Dafa has participated for the past several years.

An architect by the name of Carina said that she had learned about the organ harvesting crimes in China while she was handling correspondence for a British MP. She used to work as an assistant to the MP.

The festival gave Carina a chance to learn more about Falun Dafa and why the communist regime wants to persecute the group.

She expressed her support to efforts against the persecution and said she would write to her representative in the European Parliament. “It is important to let them (Members of Parliament) know that Falun Dafa should not be persecuted at all.”

A lady named Joy met the same practitioner again this year that she had talked to at the festival last year. “I am sad to hear that the persecution has not ended yet. What can we do to help you?”

Joy and her sister both signed a petition asking their MP of European Parliament to support efforts to stop China’s organ harvesting atrocities from prisoners of conscience.
